Cher announced this morning on NBC's Today Show earlier this morning that she is kicking off a new tour called "Dressed To Kill." This will be the singer's first tour in eight years, since 2005's "Never Can Say Goodbye Tour."
"The road is horrible, but the concerts are great," she told Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie on the show. "I understand why guys in bands tear up hotel rooms and throw TVs out the window because it's a very lonely place. The only time you have fun is at the concerts."
During the show, the legendary singer performed her latest single, "Woman's World," as well as the classic "I Hope You Find it," and "Believe."
The tour will be in support of her 26th solo album, "Closer To The Truth," which drops tomorrow. The 49-city tour begins March 22, 2014 in Phoenix. The tour, "Dressed to Kill," is named after one of the songs on the album.
American Express cardholders can take part in the pre-sale for the tour from Sept. 30 through Oct. 3. Online ticket-holders will also receive a free copy of Cher's new album. Information regarding tickets for the general public will be announced later on the artist's website.
