LISTEN: One Direction Release "Where Do Broken Hearts Go" from 'FOUR' Ahead of Album Release Date

One Direction: leaked

In a video announcement on the official One Direction YouTube account, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson announce that those who pre-ordered FOUR will now receive an instant download of "Where Do Broken Hearts Go" on iTunes.

"Where Do Broken Go" continues 1D's heavy '80s pop influence, sounding not wholly unlike Belinda Carlisle's "Heaven is a Place on Earth." Heavy synth beats, perfectly planned pauses and the epic, high harmonies in One Direction's chorus help to add to the throwback sound.

"Now I'm searching in a lonely place / Every corner calling out your name / Trying to find you but I just don't know / Where do broken hearts go," One Direction sing in the bombastic chorus, channeling their best Journey impression all the while.

"Where Do Broken Hearts Go" is an album track from One Direction's forthcoming album FOUR, which is due to be released on Monday, Nov. 17. The album has thus far been preceded by the single "Steal My Girl," though One Direction has previously released "Fireproof" and "Ready to Run."
