Although the Electric Zoo on Randall's Island was cancelled a day early, and The Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum cancelled the Electric Tomato Festival amidst a rash of overdose deaths at EDM events, the Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival will bring digital dance music to New York City.
The three day event will take place November 8 through 10 at a number of Brooklyn venues, including the music Hall of Williamsburg, 285 Kent, Cameo, Glasslands and dance club Output. Passes for the entire weekend are on sale now, and individual show tickets will go on sale in October. There will be a pre-show on November 7.
Although the festival doesn't bring in the same big names that something like Electric Zoo might, there are still notable acts that you may not recognize by name. Evian Christ, a 24 y.o. from the U.K. had his first major producing credit during 2013, on Kanye West's "I'm In It" off of "Yeezus" no less. Lunice, half of the production duo TNGHT (who also helped out West during "Blood on The Leaves"), will also make an appearance.
