Rihanna: Concert For Valor
This Instagram activity comes less than two weeks after Rihanna made her triumphant return to the social media platform under her "badgalriri" handle.
She captioned the photo of her at the phone booth giving an intense look, "'CYRUS!!! LET ME IN!!' #DayAtTheWhiteHouse," referencing the Scandal character Cyrus Beene (played by Jeff Perry).
The second phone booth photo nodded to Pope's lover, President Fitzgerald Grant (played by Tony Goldwyn), with the caption, "'Fitz, darling...'"
The photo of her in the Briefing Room referenced Scandal's current press secretary and former member of Olivia Pope & Associates, Abby Whelan (played by Darby Stanchfield) with the caption "#heyAbby."
Finally, the singer and her entourage posed for a photo in the formal room. "West Wing Posse!! We wanna be O.P.A. so bad!!!," she captioned the shot, referencing Olivia Pope & Associates.
The tour wasn't all about pretending to be Kerry Washington's character. According to The Hill, the Barbados-born singer also met with administration officials about potential areas of partnership, such as working on the President's "My Brother's Keeper" initiative, which is billed as an effort "to help more young men of color facing especially tough odds to stay on track and reach their full potential."
HBO's Concert of Valor airs tonight at 7 p.m. EST and also features performances from The Black Keys, Eminem, The Zac Brown Band, Bruce Springsteen, Carrie Underwood, Metallica, Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters, Jennifer Hudson, and Jessie J. Onstage hosts include Bryan Cranston, John Oliver, Jamie Joxx, Jack Black, Bob Woodruff, and George Lopez.
