Best Coast has released a new song, "This Lonely Morning" off its upcoming mini-album Fade Away. In the song Bethany Cosentino sings about waiting for a call in a hazy, tired, morning funk. The song is Best Coast at its sunniest. The lo-fi, pop-punk track feels like a summer morning.
"I wrote that song in literally five minutes, sitting in bed one morning, bored," Cosentino told Rolling Stone. "That song kickstarted the writing for this record."
Fade Way is due out Oct. 22 from the L.A. indie rockers and is currently available for pre-order. Listen to the track here (via Soundcloud), and let us know what you think in the comments section below!
