Miley Cyrus was the host and performer on Saturday Night Live over the weekend. She wasn't afraid to make fun of herself, but she also told the audience that she wasn't going to apologize for her VMA performance or her new look, and she made it clear that Hannah Montana was "murdered."
The first skit showed a post-apocalyptic America, which Kenan Thompson said began with Cyrus' VMA performance. It flashes back to Cyrus before the performance where she meets the "old Miley," played by Vanessa Bayer. Robin Thicke and Will Smith even make an appearance.
Later in the show, Cyrus takes on the GOP in her parody of "We Can't Stop" called "We Did Stop (The Government)." Cyrus plays Michele Bachmann, Taran Killam plays John Boehner and both are scantily dressed and dancing in ways we never want to see politicians move.
During musical performances that night, Cyrus sang "Wrecking Ball" and a stripped-down acoustic version of "Can't Stop" off her most recent album Bangerz.
