The American Music Awards may technically be, well, American, but Sunday night (Nov. 23) were dominated by foreign acts. Not only did the likes of Iggy Azalea and 5 Seconds of Summer take home awards and tear up the stage with live performances, but One Direction were also there to dominate. After winning multiple awards, 1D also gave a stunning performance of its new single "Night Changes."
Wearing complimentary black outfits that simultaneously match and show off their individual personalities, One Direction's Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson performed in front of a deep green wooded screen.
For the latest televised performance of "Night Changes," One Direction actually reached into their talents to harmonize richly on the chorus, adding an extra layer to the already stunning track.

One Direction weren't just on hand at the AMAs to perform "Night Changes." The boys were also multi-winners. 1D took home the American Music Award for Best Pop/Rock Album for Midnight Memories and also bested OneRepublic and Imagine Dragons for Best Pop/Rock Group.
