Fans have been anticipating Ne-Yo's sixth studio album, Non-Fiction, since he announced the release back in May. After a few delays, the singer has revealed the album's official release date and that it will feature Jeezy, Juicy J and ScHoolboy Q.
According to Rap-Up, Ne-Yo's follow-up to 2012′s R.E.D. is now slated to be released on Jan. 27, 2015. The "Lazy Love" singer announced the album's release while on stage at Project Club L.A.'s "Pre-Thanksgiving Bash" on Wednesday.
Back in May, Ne-Yo released Non-Fiction's first single, "Money Can't Buy," featuring Jeezy. Along with sharing the single's cover art, he hinted at his sixth album. Since the announcement, he has also released his club-banger single, "She Knows," featuring Juicy J. Non-Fiction is set to feature ScHoolboy Q on the Salaam Remi-produced "Run" as well.
As previously reported, fans can expect the "Let Me Love You" crooner to tap back into his R&B roots. The producer/songwriter told Billboard that this album will consists chiefly of that.
"I had a little stint with the dance music and all of that, which I had a good time with- and I love the audience, I love them for accepting me doing it -but I had to go home on this one. Had to take it back to my roots, and not to say that there won't be one, maybe two songs on there that the dance crowd can get into, but the majority, the girth of the album, will be R&B."
In the meantime, Ne-Yo can be heard on Pitbull's latest single, "Time of Our Lives," off his new album Globalization.
