Dr. Dog have developed a reputation as a strong live band, and their prolific touring has kept people coming back for more since their formation in 1999. But they've never officially released a concert film to share with fans who can't make it to the gigs.
That will change on Jan. 13, when the group releases Live At Flamingo Hotel, a two-hour concert doc directed and edited by Frank Weysos.
"That's always what we've wanted to do," vocalist Toby Leaman said in a statement (via Consequence of Sound). "We're one thing on a record and a different thing live. Somebody goes to a Dr. Dog show and they come back again and they bring more people with them. Our live show is vital to how we view ourselves as a band."
