Although Kanye West hasn’t officially announced any plans regarding the release of his eagerly anticipated new album, it was revealed today that the superstar rapper will be embarking on a North American tour in 2015 in support of the album. According to Spin, the announcement was made rather inconspicuously through the website of Rihanna’s charity auction, which includes a prize titled “Kanye West Tour Experience” and states that Yeezy will be touring North America in 2015.
Here’s what the “Kanye West Tour Experience” entails, according to its page on the auction's website:
Be Kanye West’s special front row VIP guest for his upcoming North American 2015 tour. Experience a rare opportunity meet & greet with the icon.
This once-in-a-lifetime moment includes:
Two (2) VIP tickets in city of your choice to a Kanye West concert date on his upcoming 2015 tour.
A Private Meet & Greet with Kanye West before the show.
A limited pair of Yeezy’s in your size.
Autographed tour memorabilia.
Exclusive tour merchandise in winner's size.
The bidding for the Kanye West Tour Experience starts at $15,000 and ends on Dec. 11 at 5:00 PM EST. The auction benefits the Clara Lionel Foundation, which according to the auction's website, was founded by Rihanna in 2012 "in honor of her grandparents, Clara and Lionel Braithwaite" in order to "improve the quality of life for communities globally in the areas of health, education, arts, and culture." So if you feel indulgent and don't mind dropping several thousand dollars for a chance to meet Kanye West, just keep in mind that it's for a good cause.
Other packages included in the auction are similar VIP experiences with Paul McCartney and even Rihanna herself, who also has an upcoming album and tour for 2015. No dates for either Rihanna's or Kanye's tour have yet been announced.
