Future has been chopped from Drake's "Would You Like A Tour?" tour after comments Future made in a Billboard article.
NYPost.com reports that that Future spoke with Billboard about his latest album, Honest. Associate editor Erika Ramirez tweeted about the story, saying: "Not only is future's #honest album interesting, so are his thoughts on Drake's #NWTS album." She then quoted Future saying, "Drake made an album that is full of hits but it doesn't grab you. They're not possessive; they don't make you feel the way I do.'"
According the article, Future's managers read the story and tried to claim that his comments were off the record and out of context.
When Drake found out, he immediately demanded that Future be taken off the bill for his tour. "He told his agent either Future gets fired, or he'll fire him," a source told the Post.
According to Consequence of Sound, the two sides were still making negotiations as late as last week. Drake's representatives were asking for Future to pay up - he was set to make $40,000 per show. Future, on the other hand, is demanding payment for lost wages and is filing a lawsuit for $1.5 million.
Although a dozen or so tour dates were pushed back and rescheduled last month, Drake is finally set to begin "Would You Like A Tour?," which begins on Friday in Pittsburgh, supported by Miguel.
