The biggest night in music is just around the corner, even if it's hard to believe that yet another year has passed. Today (Dec. 5), the nominations for the 57th Annual GRAMMY Awards are being rolled out via Twitter and various television appearances. Early on, predicted favorites lead the nominations with Sam Smith, Sia, Taylor Swift and Pharrell Williams all racking up multiple nods.
The first major category to be announced was Record of the Year, which goes to the performer of the best single of the year. Smith's "Stay With Me," Sia's "Chandelier" and Swift's "Shake It Off" were expected inclusions in the category and got nods alongside more surprising bids for Meghan Trainor's "All About That Bass" and Iggy Azalea's "Fancy" (feat. Charli XCX).
More nominations and categories will be rolled out throughout the day, so stay tuned with Music Times for the most updated information!
