Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood has shared a song from the soundtrack to the upcoming Paul Thomas Anderson film Inherent Vice titled "Spooks," which you can check out below. The song was written by Radiohead and made its live debut in 2006, but besides Greenwood this new version features no other members of Radiohead.
Instead, Supergrass members Gaz Coombes and Dany Goffey appear on the mysterious, noir-inspired track with Joanna Newsom providing spoken word vocals — she also provides the narration for Inherent Vice.

You can check out Radiohead's original version of the song here, which is faster and intense:
Greenwood wrote the original score for Inherent Vice, which marks his third collaboration with director Paul Thomas Anderson, following his scores for There Will Be Blood and The Master. Outside his collaborations with Anderson, Greenwood has also written scores for the films Bodysong, Norwegian Wood and We Need to Talk About Kevin.
Inherent Vice comes out Friday, Dec. 12, in select cities with a wide release Jan. 9. The film stars Joaquin Phoenix and is based on the 2009 novel by Thomas Pynchon. It is Paul Thomas Anderson's seventh film, his first since 2012's The Master starring Joaquin Phoenix and Philip Seymour Hoffman. The soundtrack for Inherent Vice is set for release Dec. 15 through Nonesuch Records.
Radiohead began work on their next studio album this past September, though there is no word yet as to when it will be released. It will be the legendary band's ninth studio album overall, their first since 2011's The King of Limbs.
