Generally you don't want aim to collaborate with those you have beefs with (just look at the discussion earlier today about Jay-Z and Robert De Niro). Ne-Yo is willing to let bygones be bygones however. Or at least, he's more than willing to enter the studio with Lindsay Lohan, although the actress sued him in 2011.
The 2011 lawsuit was regarding the hit single "Give Me Everything," in which rapper Pit Bull drops the line "I've got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan." The actress took the statement to be slanderous, and she brought suit against Pit Bull, as well as his co-performers Ne-Yo and Afrojack. A judge threw out the suit in 2013, saying the lyrics are protected under the first amendment.
Ne-Yo told E! News however that he would have no qualms about writing some tunes for Lohan's next album release.
"Yeah!" he said. "I have no beef with Lindsay Lohan, none whatsoever. If she wants, tell her I said, 'Let's work.' There you go."
Ne-Yo actually has written for Lohan before, a track called "Bossy" for her third album...an album that never happened.
"I actually wrote a song for Lindsay Lohan, with her first musical attempt-a song that she actually cut," he said. "And then I don't know what happened after that. But the song actually came out really good."
The song went to no. 1 on the Billboard Dance Music/Club Play Singles chart.
