Wisin, of the former duo Wisin Y Yandel, has released the video for his hit single "Que Viva La Vida." The song, which premiered a few weeks ago, has made its way into the Top 10 on Billboard's "Latin Airplay" chart.
According to the Beverly Hills Courier, the video was directed by Jessy Terrero and filmed in the desert of Palmdale, Calif.
The track is the lead single off, El Regreso del Sobreviviente, Wisin's first solo album since 2004. The album features collaborations with Pitbull, Chris Brown, Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez, Franco De Vita, Zion and Gocho.
The video begins with Wisin driving a semitruck in a police chase through the desert. His partner in crime, an attractive, scantily-dress woman, distracts the cops by climbing on to the roof of the truck to dance.
The cops crash their vehicles, and Wisin frees the dancers who he had been hiding in the trunk. The dancers emerge from the truck and perform a choreographed dance in a desert truck yard. The video then transitions to the site of a plane crash, then into a tunnel, and then into a dance club.
El Regreso del Sobreviviente drops Dec. 3 via Sony Music.
