Little Big Town's Pain Killer Tour comes in support of their latest album Pain Killer, which was released Oct. 21. It is the group's sixth studio album overall, their first since 2012's Tornado. The album has spawned two singles so far: "Day Drinking" and "Girl Crush."
"Artists like Eric Church give us courage," Little Big Town singer Karen Fairchild told Rolling Stone about their new album. "Miranda Lambert gave us courage. There are lots of people that inspire me that commercial popular music can mean more and not feel so trite."
"When there are many writers in the room," Fairchild continues, discussing the album's writing process, "you get a little worried that if you blurt out an idea that you feel pretty confident about, that it's going to get watered down or changed into something not where you wanted it to go. But we started talking about ideas and I knew it was the perfect time."
