Us Weekly has reported that Lady Gaga is set to perform in outer space at the 2015 Zero G Colony high-tech music festival in New Mexico, giving a new meaning to the name pop "star."
Skeptical, we tried to find any information we could on the event. The Zero G Colony website only states, "We're on the brink of something groundbreaking. An ambitious event never seen before by mankind or on planet earth. A music experience that is truly out of this world. It will be big and it will be epic! Be a part of it." Us Weekly reports that the three-day long hi-tech festival will take place at Spaceport America in New Mexico.
Gaga is set to blast off on the third day at dawn, approximately six months after the first Virgin Galactic commercial flight. According to NBC, 650 customers have already put down money to be part of the first flight, about $250,000 apiece.
If this were true, Lady Gaga would be the first artist to since in outer space. According to the article, she will make her journey on a Virgin Galactic ship where she will sing us a song - "Venus" would probably be an appropriate choice.
