Beyoncé': He even offered some of Solange's work
Apparently you can't even have a garage sale when you're famous without the media assuming something is wrong. "Somehow that became we are going out of business, homeless and selling all of Beyoncé's stuff to stay alive, which as you can see it's just the opposite," Knowles said.
There were deals to be had, too. Three T-shirts went for $10 and some of Solange's CDs were sold at the bargain rate of $2. Now, if you really need money, that's no way to make it, but it wasn't exactly a proud father move.
"If I needed money, I wouldn't sell $5 T-shirts," he added. "I'd sell a Grammy or an MTV award. So that is insulting to think we need to sell $5 T-shirts. No, I don't think so." Check out video from the sale below.
Knowles was Bey's tour manager until 2011 when the pair decided to part ways. The decision was reportedly mutual.
"I've only parted ways with my father on a business level. He is my father for life, and I love my dad dearly. I am grateful for everything he has taught me. I grew up watching both he and my mother [Tina Knowles] manage and own their own businesses. They were hard-working entrepreneurs and I will continue to follow in their footsteps," Bey said.
Billboard points out that there were rumors Knowles stealing from his daughter. The relationship has been rocky ever since.
