It's been quite the long wait, but it seems like a new Florence and the Machine album is finally on its way for 2015. In October, the "Shake It Off" band returned to the U.S. live stage and now it seems like its aiming to return to the charts with a new record.
Today (Jan. 5), Florence and the Machine fansite Florence and the Machine Army posted a screenshot from the recording studio of a follow-up to 2011's Ceremonials getting mixed. The photo features a mixing board with "Florence + The Machine," "CH" and "MIXXX" scribbled between switchboard buttons.
The name of the album, of course, has been obscured by a Sharpie marker.
The news of a new album in the works is seemingly not something Florence and the Machine's label wants out there. The image has since been removed from its original source, though nothing ever truly dies on the Internet.
Further information surrounding the album is scarce. However, Florence and the Machine Army's Twitter reports that the band's third studio album will be arriving in the second quarter of 2015, with an official announcement arriving in the next few weeks.
The new album is hot news for fans of Florence and the Machine, who have heard little from the band since the release of Ceremonials. The band last released new music in May 2013 as a part of the Jay Z curated soundtrack to The Great Gatsby with a song called "Over the Love."
