Rick Ross is one heavily tattooed performer, and he recently added more ink to his collection: the Miami Heat logo. Ross has more than 100 tattoos on his body, and is running out of room as a result, but that didn't stop the rapper from finding creative places for the Miami Heat logo and Meek Mill's Dream Chasers symbol - on his face.
The Maybach Music Group leader stopped into Unroyal Ink, located in New Jersey, and got seven new pieces of ink done on his face. Photos of some of the new tattoos have surfaced online via Instagram. Meek Mill also made an appearance at the tattoo shop and got the logo for Maybach Music Group tattooed on his hand. Ross coined the experience "Family Ties."
Ross is still celebrating the release of his album, Hood Billionaire, which was released on November 24, 2014.
In a feature for BuzzFeed, Ross explained that his first tattoo was a dollar sign, and he got the tattoo when he was 13 or 14 as foreshadowing to what was to come - more money and more tattoos. And specifically, more dollar signs tattoo, noting, "I have over 50 dollar signs tattooed on me in different places." Rick Ross also told BuzzFeed, with a laugh, "I haven't really regretted any of my tattoos. There are some tattoos where my artist might have been on mushrooms."
He also said, in terms of giving people tattoo advice, "My mind frame was always that it's all about your spirit. Can't cherish the flesh. That'd be over before we know it. You know what I mean? And it's all on you. You know I'mma rep. It's how I feel good."
Rick Ross has been a longtime Miami Heat fan, even saying in a past interview that he would bet $100,000 on the team to have a better record than the Cleveland Cavaliers this season. Luckily for the rapper, considering the Heat are not ahead of the Cavaliers, that isn't fully on the record.
