Wes Anderson tribute album, 'I Saved Latin!' in the works for spring 2014

Director Wes Anderson is getting his own tribute album this coming spring. American Laundromat Records has assembled six bundle packages that feature a double-CD called I Saved Latin!, which will honor Anderson's music-filled movies including Royal Tenenbaums, Rushmore, Life Aquatic, Bottle Rocket, Fantastic Mr. Fox and Darjeeling Limited.

According to Consequence of Sound, more artists will be announced closer to the album's release. So far, the tracklist includes covers of "Seven And Seven Is" by Black Francis (originally by Love), "Margaret Yang's Theme" by Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin (originally by Mark Mothersbaugh) , "This Time Tomorrow" by Telekinesis (originally by The Kinks) , "Needle In The Hay" by Juliana Hatfield (originally by Elliott Smith) and more. Look out for covers of Nick Drake, The Velvet Underground, Cat Stevens, John Lennon and The Zombies.

Accompanying the two-disc album are several Anderson-themed items including a Team Zissou beanie and decal, a Moonrise Kingdom Khaki Scout badge, Max Fischer from Rushmore's business card, three themed T-shirts, a limited edition 7" and more. Each package includes different items along with the I Saved Latin! album.
