Sugarland's Kristian Bush will also do a solo tour, just like bandmate Jennifer Nettles

So Jennifer Nettles thinks she can handle touring solo, without the help of fellow Sugarland member Kristian Bush, eh? Well two can play that game Jennifer! Bush, albeit not phrasing it anything like the way we just framed the story, announced that he too would be going on a solo tour of sorts, although not nearly as extensive as Nettles.

He advises Sugarland fans not to worry however. This isn't a permanent separation, and you won't have to wait until Coachella 2021 to see the duo perform together again.

"I'm just in a different place in life than she is," he said. "You can either look at [the break] as a good thing or a bad thing. I look at it as a good thing. Can you imagine what we will do after we gather all this knowledge? It's going to be insane!"

Well, alright.

Bush will begin his solo trek with an appearance at the 30A Songwriters Festival in Florida and then proceed along the Southeast coast with stops in the Carolinas and Georgia. He'll also be performing solo during 2013 for his annual Thanksgiving show in Decatur, GA, and he'll play a show with Chris Young and Brett James in Decatur on December 1 as well. The Decatur shows are both sold out however, so Sugarland fans are better off looking to 2014 at this point. The dates are below:

01/17-19: South Walton, FL @ 30A Songwriters Festival

01/29: Asheville, N.C. @ Grey Eagle

01/30: Greensboro, N.C. @ Blind Tiger

01/31: Isle of Palms, S.C. @ Windjammer

02/01: Atlanta, Ga. @ Buckhead Theatre
