New Jersey punk trio Screaming Females have shared a new track titled "Criminal Image," off of their upcoming album Rose Mountain, which you can check out below. The track is filled with some excellent riffage from guitarist Marissa Paternoster (who's truly one of America's best living guitarists), but has an uncharacteristic yet still excellent piano break in the middle. The song is accompanied with a video of the band brushing their teeth, because punk rock.

"Criminal Image" is the fourth track to be shared from Screaming Females' upcoming album Rose Mountain, following "Wishing Well," "Ripe," and "Empty Head." The album is set for release on Feb. 24 through Don Giovanni, and will be the band's sixth studio album overall, their first since 2012's Steve Albini-produced Ugly, and their first with producer Matt Bayles, who's best known for his work with Mastodon.
"Everday we'd go into the studio from 11 to 11, work with Matt, go home and watch a movie or whatever," Paternoster told Paper about the album's recording process. "It was nice. It was the longest we've ever spent on making a record and therefore for me personally, it was really nice to sleep on things and not have to rush decisions. It was a luxury that we haven't experienced before."
"And Matt was a really nice guy," she added. "He's relaxed, but he's also a pragmatic guy who gets things done."
Screaming Females will be playing three record release shows in late February for Rose Mountain, which you can check out below:
02/26: Allston, MA @ Great Scott (18+)
02/27: Philadelphia, PA @ First Unitarian Church of Philadelphia (all ages)
02/28: Brooklyn, NY @ The Knitting Factory (all ages)
