We've already discussed Kendrick Lamar's recent Billboard interview in terms of Azealia Banks' unholy wrath, but we didn't get a chance to delve into Lamar's positive comments about Iggy Azalea until I-G-G-Y herself began tweeting about them.
"She's doing her thing," Lamar said of the Australia-born rapper. "Let her. People have to go through trials and tribulations to get where they at. Do your thing, continue to rock it, because obviously God wants you here."
Azalea didn't thank K-Dot, per se, but acknowledged the kind words while beating away all of the people who were upset at Lamar for supporting her (via HipHopDX).
Someone I know makes a positive judgement about me and as a result a million people who know neither of us are outraged. Irony Is real.

God is the only being I've never personally met whose opinion I'd consider strongly and he shows me daily he approves by blessing me. — IGGY AZALEA (@IGGYAZALEA) January 10, 2015

Lamar's interview has been a lightning rod for social media arguments in the past couple days.
His Ferguson comments ("But when we don't have respect for ourselves, how do we expect them to respect us? It starts from within") sent Banks into a Twitter rage. Then Lupe Fiasco, Kid Cudi and others got involved, which created more chaos. Many are calling out the Compton rapper for talking down to his own community and not recognizing the generational effects slavery has had on them.
We'll let you know if anything else develops.
