Will Chloe Goins ultimately prove to be the catalyst to completely unravel Bill Cosby's insistence that he's an innocent man? Well, what we do know for sure is that the model met with L.A. investigators for two hours today to look into pursuing criminal charges in connection with an encounter that she claims to have with the famed comedian back in 2008, when she was only 18.
Goins, like many women before her, has alleged that Cosby drugged her and sexually assaulted her, but this case is a little different because the statute of limitations may not have expired. Not only could he potentially face criminal charges but Goins' attorney Spencer Kuvin claims that she feels the responsibility to take the action that other women legally cannot. He also pushed for the LAPD to get a search warrant for The Playboy Mansion, where the assault allegedly took place. It is believed that surveillance footage might prove Goins claims against Cosby.
"The information about the cameras is general knowledge from other Playboy playmates. We hope that the LAPD would execute a search warrant to obtain those tapes. I would hope that those tapes exist, and I hope they would know that those tapes should be maintained because they are key evidence in both a criminal and civil investigation. Chloe is very aware of her responsibility because so many other women are outside of the statute of limitation. She is seeking justice under the criminal justice system." explained Kuvin on behalf of his client.
As word broke of Goins speaking with police a string of scheduled stand up gigs that Cosby had booked in Colorado and Massachusetts were all canceled. Do you think that this case is going to be a real turning point in the Cosby scandal? Could an arrest actually be coming? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
