Lily Allen says she would like to work with Miley Cyrus

Lily Allen and Miley Cyrus have both had their share of controversy and backlash for some of their choices as artists. Allen's "Hard Out Here" video sparked some debate about whether or not she was making fun of Cyrus' video for "We Can't Stop." And Cyrus on her own has had plenty of attention for some of her recent choices, which are pretty common knowledge at this point, no need to go there.

But it turns out, even with her "Hard Out Here" video, Allen is a big fan of Cyrus and said that Bangerz is one of her favorite albums of the year. The two stars met up recently in L.A. and got along really well. In an interview with Mirror, Allen said:

"I'd never met her before so I couldn't say we are really great friends but I do really like Miley. She's funny, witty and clever, I love what she does. I think her and Lorde's album have had the most plays in my car this year. I never went on record saying the video was a direct pop at her — it wasn't."

Allen is currently number one on the U.K. charts with her cover of Keane's "Somewhere Only We Know." Continuing her thoughts on Cyrus, Allen said, "Anyone who knows me, or follows me on Twitter, knows I love that girl more than anything. She's probably way too busy for someone like me but yeah, I'd welcome the opportunity to work with her."

Allen is expected to release her next album in 2014, following 2009's It's Not Me, It's You.
