After months of anticipation, Britney Spears fans need not wait any longer to hear the pop princess' new album Britney Jean. Her eighth studio effort arrived for an early stream on iTunes Radio on Monday Nov. 25, eight days before its official Dec. 3 release date.
The iTunes Radio release comes following a series of leaks from Britney Jean. "Brightest Morning Star," "Alien" and "Passenger" all debuted online illegally, and it seemed like a full blown album leak was right around the corner. Now, Spears and her camp have no worries, as fans can listen to high-quality versions of each of the album's 10 songs.
Last week, an album sampler hit the web with 30-second snippets of each Britney Jean track, and the record wasn't sounding so promising. Teased as Spears' most personal record to date, Britney Jean (which was heavily produced by will.i.am) features a heavy-EDM influence, with throbbing club beats and songs about dancing the night away and partying.
Does the full album improve on the short samples, creating a perfect blend of dance music and personal insight, or will Spears' eighth studio effort prove to be a failed comeback?
Only time will tell. Until then, listen to Britney Jean over on iTunes Radio for a limited amount of time.
Britney Jean will be released on Dec. 3. The album has been preceded by singles "Work B----" and "Perfume."
