Sleater-Kinney is set to release their comeback album, No Cities To Love, next week and they've enlisted a bunch of famous friends to celebrate in a video for their title track. These famous indie fans sing along to the song via webcam in various cities. It opens with band member Carrie Brownstein's Portlandia partner Fred Armisen playing keyboard on a New York City sidewalk then flashes over to Gerard Way singing in his room. Brie Larson, Natasha Lyonne, Ellen Page, Sarah Silverman, J Mascis, Vanessa Bayer, Miranda July, Norman Reedus, Andy Samberg, Evan Rachel Wood, and band members Corin Tucker, Janet Weiss, and Brownstein also join in on the reunion fun.

Some stars of the clip have been vocal in their excitement for the video and the new album.

"Very honored to have been asked to participate in the singalong with @sleater_kinney alongside some very awesome people," Way wrote on Twitter.

Among other tweets about the band, Page retweeted The New York Times, who called Sleater-Kinney's reunion record "the first great album of 2015." "Duh," Page added.

Tonight Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson -- the stars of Comedy Central's Broad City, whose second season premiered this week -- will be interviewing the band for NPR. You can leave them the "Q's you want A'd" here.

Brownstein spoke about the reunion in a recent interview with Billboard.

"We were a moving train -- we just pressed 'pause,'" she said about going on hiatus at the peak of their success. "But looking back, it's a relief to stop while you're ahead. It's easier to start that back up again than to exhume a corpse."

She went on to say that the band was careful to make the new album live up to the standard of their old work. Had No Cities to Love been sub-par, they wouldn't have released it.

"We're touring for an album -- not for a legacy," Brownstein said. "We were willing to shelve it if it didn't live up to our standards; you don't want this flaccid appendage at the end of a very strong body of work."

No Cities To Love is currently streaming ahead of its official release over at NPR and is due out is due out Jan. 20 via Sub Pop.
