Houston rapper Travi$ Scott has revealed the tentative release for his debut solo artist album Rodeo. In an interview with CR Fashion Book, Scott revealed that the album would be arriving sometime in March. It was a very typical way for the "Don't Play" rapper to make the announcement that was raised by a mother who was a retailer for Louis Vuitton. He commented on the meaning of the album title, Rodeo in the same interview.
"It's like a Beyoncé concert. The carnival, the livestock, and the show are all parts of the event. I feel like that's how my life is. The carnival is like my imagination — it's the drive behind my vision. Even though I don't feel like I'm at a point where my shit is at an all-time high, we're working to get there. We are working to get to the level of where your magazine is and to stand on that level. The livestock show is the road to get to where I'm going. At this point, I'm riding a bull for just eight seconds and it's hard as f--k. But we made it."
The 22-year-old rapper, who has collaborated or been featured on tracks alongside T.I., Jay Z, Diddy, Big Sean, Rich Homie Quan, Pusha T, Rick Ross and many others, is ready to take the next step with his debut artist album.
The former member of the duo The Classmates (alongside good friend Chris Holloway), Scott first got his chance in the big time after being found by T.I. and then as a producer, working under the umbrella of Very G.O.O.D Music led by Kanye West. He has since released two mixtapes, Owl Pharaoh and Days Before Rodeo in 2013 and 2014 respectively, leading to feverish anticipation for the 2015 studio album as noted by Hot New Hip Hop.
