Iceland's greatest musical export, Björk, has announced her first tour dates of 2015 — a slate of shows in New York City where she will be taking on some more intimate venues in Carnegie Hall and the New York City Center. It will kick off a short residency in the Big Apple during March as she unveils her exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art on the same day as her first show at Carnegie Hall, March 7.
Björk announced on Twitter that she is excited to have one of the main producers on the album, Arca, known for work with Kanye West and FKA Twigs, will be joining her on the road for these few shows.
Björk recently announced the title of her upcoming artist album Vulnicura. It will be her ninth studio album and first since her 2011 effort Biophillia, which is getting the MoMA exhibit. The album is expected sometime in March.
The action does not stop there though for Björk fans in NYC. She will be taking her talents to a much larger stage during the summer at Governors Ball. She was coy not to announce which day she is performing.
Tickets go on sale for Björk Fan Club members on Monday, Jan. 19 before a general public sale to follow Jan. 23.
