Funkmaster Flex is not happy with Jay-Z. Fed up with recent misconduct revolving around Jay's Life+Times website, Flex has now ripped into the Brooklyn rapper twice on Hot 97 this week.
The problem stems from an interview Flex did with L+T about an app he designed. Flex claims that one of Jay's reporters asked several questions about said app but did not use any of the material.
Later, Jay released a similar app, which obviously ticked Flex off.
Skip ahead to Jan. 15 when an L+T reporter emailed Flex requesting an interview about a Dipset reunion. That was when he decided to hop on Hot 97 and sound off.
"Let me be clear, because I read through everything in that email that was sent to me, I don't care about your website," he said to Jay, via VIBE. "Your website's trash. Y'all can't move with me in this digital space. Maybe if y'all copied everything I was doing with the app, your app wouldn't have crashed the day your album dropped. Don't play with me. I didn't take no sides in that situation. Play me like I'm stupid and you're gonna see a different kind of dude firing off on you. I let you live in this town, don't think I can't ruin you."
That was not all: Flex came back for more Saturday, Jan. 17, after receiving a text message that read 'This is HOV."
"Even though I have this respect, I have such respect, I'm gonna let somebody try and 'handle' me. And I'ma tell you why," Flex said. "For the simple fact, in 2015 bro, I don't do the caps in the text. I don't work for you, I'm not a worker. I want you to understand what my opinion of this is: In 2015, you are a commercial, corporate rapper that drops a little catch phrase every three months."
Sounds like Jay has a problem on his hands, and his damage control measures are only making things worse.
