Cage The Elephant allow fans to 'Come A Little Closer' with original artwork over new music video

Interactive music videos are all the rage these days, and now alternative rock band Cage the Elephant want in on the action. Earlier this week (Nov. 27), Cage the Elephant announced their own interactive video for their song "Come A Little Closer." The band's new Melophobia single was shot in front of a green screen and now fans can decorate their own clip online.

The original music video, which debuted two weeks ago on VEVO, featured psychedelic visuals from the green screen, drawn by Cage The Elephant's lead singer and frontman, Matt Schultz. Using his childlike artwork for a crazy musical experience, fans can now take inspiration from that clip for their own video.

The interactive aspect of the clip comes via the band's official website. A Microsoft Paint-like interface allows fans to take screen grabs from "Come A Little Closer" and decorate them however they wish.

All the typical tools are there, from pencils to spray cans to an uploader for your own JPEGs.

More talented fans can even download the entire music video and create their own artwork over the entire thing!

According to Cage the Elephant's website, all submissions will be eligible for a chance to win a signed drawing from Schultz.

Make your own music video over at their website here.
