Pitchfork will guest curate space for the One Million Square Feet of Culture project

As part of the One Million Square Feet of Culture project in Miami, Pitchfork will be one of the participants taking over some of the space for their own creative display. They will curate 10,000 square feet of space to feature Gesaffelstein, Jacques Greene with an opening set by DJ L-Vis 1990.

The entire project will take place Dec. 4- 7 at the Wynwood Cigar Factory. Pitchfork's production will be on Dec. 5 and is starting at 9 p.m.

The One Million Square Feet of Culture project is described on Pitchfork's website as quite the interesting and eccentric event: "It's set to feature documentary-filming robots, balloons that inflate based on emotions, a one-off recording on an old 78, and an exclusive party for sheep."

Gesaffelstein (Mike Levy) is a French producer who worked with Kanye West on Yeezus as well as Brodinski and Daft Punk. His most recent release from this year is Aleph.

Jacques Greene is a producer from Montreal who Pitchfork describes as "very good at one thing: extracting a vocal snippet from some all-but-forgotten R&B star of the recent past (Ashanti, Brandy, Ciara) and then proceeding to build a shiny and modern combination of house and two-step underneath it."

The project in Miami will surely be a diverse collection of entertainment. The event is free if you RSVP, although that doesn't necessarily guarantee that admission. But you can RSVP to pitchfork@1msqft.com and take your chances.
