Rocklahoma 2015 Lineup: Godsmack, Tesla and Linkin Park to Headline...No Indication Leg Injury to Prevent Chester Bennington from Appearing

Rocklahoma, one of the largest purely rock festivals in the United States, has announced its lineup for 2015, according to Loudwire. Headliners will include Linkin Park, Tesla and Godsmack.

"We literally spend months and months piecing together the exact right mix of artists for Rocklahoma each year," said coproducer Joe Litvag. " Linkin Park and Slayer happen to be two of the most requested artists by the fans of Rocklahoma to play, so to get them both at the same time is a major coup."

Linkin Park certainly has to be one of the more eye-catching names on the lineup, especially following headlines that the band will be canceling the rest of its tour in support of the album The Hunting Party due to a leg injury suffered by vocalist Chester Bennington. Although those dates only extend into February, worried have already arisen on social media whether the band will be able to continue with its sets at festival such as May's Rock on The Range. Considering that Rocklahoma continued with its announcement despite the Linkin Park setback, for now we'll have to assume the answer is "yes."

Thrash is certainly in demand at the Pryor, OK event, as two of the "Big Four" will be in attendance. Slayer is placed near the top of the lineup, along with fellow metal icons Anthrax.

The emphasis on the band Tesla near the top of the lineup is somewhat confusing. The band released a new album Simplicity during 2014 and has planned a tour around it for early 2015. Rocklahoma has always had a soft spot for the glam/hair side of rock however, boasting Twisted Sister and Jackyl among its larger acts during 2014.

Volbeat, Breaking Benjamin, Papa Roach, Halestorm, Queensryche, Ministry and The Pretty Reckless are among the other bands toward the front of the bill.
