Lady Gaga tour: 'artRave: The ARTPOP Ball Tour' will begin in May, feature seating 'inside the stage'

Lady Gaga's ARTPOP may not have lived up to sales expectations, but odds are good that the accompanying tour will live up to the high bars set by the Mother Monster's previous trips. The pop star announced "artRave: The ARTPOP Ball Tour," a 25-date tour coming in May 2014.

Gaga announced via her Twitter account that the tour would be a "full on party combining music, fashion, & technology." The "fashion & technology" aspect makes us hopeful that the now famous flying dress she introduced prior to the album's release might make an appearance at the shows. She also added that tickets will be available for as low as $35 and "$85 for general admission seating which puts you INSIDE THE STAGE!" General admission normally means "standing room only," but if that means standing within a stage that surrounds the crowd, we won't complain.

The performer's last round of concerts was the sixth-highest earning tour of 2012, selling out 65 gigs and bringing in $124 million. Gaga had to cancel some international dates earlier in the year after suffering a hip injury. The pop star will play the final seven shows at New York City's Roseland Ballroom before embarking on "artRave."
