It's been a long road for Adam Lambert to album No. 3, but on his 33rd birthday (Jan. 29), the former American Idol winner and current Queen frontman has finally announced a new album title and tentative record release date.
Lambert made the big album announcement on his Twitter, after hours of teasing his 2.4 million followers. And the album title is... The Original High.
Lambert also revealed that his new single, which has yet to receive a title will be released in April. The Other High will be executive produced by Max Martin and Shellback, most recently of Taylor Swift 1989 fame.
Further details, including a tracklisting and an official album cover for The Other High have yet to be revealed. Though, at least portions of the album seem to be completely finished. Earlier this week, Lambert showed off an Instagram snap of himself listening to his new single,
The Original High will be Lambert's first solo album in three years and his first on Warner Bros. Records. After disagreements with his former label RCA, Lambert signed to Warner Bros. earlier this year, Billboard reports.
Further details about Lambert's third studio album are forthcoming.
