Berlin underground house music performer Max Graef will be coming to North America for his first appearances in the United States and elsewhere, and fortunately he's doing more than just the handful of gigs in New York and Los Angeles, as many are wont to do in his line of work. He'll kick off the tour during March in Chicago and then play another nine gigs across the continent, including one in Mexico and two in Canada (from Resident Advisor).
Graef is best known for his relaxed house music and for old school hip-hop type beats that incorporate the jazz and R&B he proclaims his love for. The DJ founded his imprint Money $ex Records to showcase not only electronic music performers but also those in hip-hop and jazz. He released his first full-length last April with Rivers of The Red Planet.
If you can't make it out to any of the shows, don't sweat it too hard. Graef is just over 23 years old, which means he's debuting in America a tad earlier than most underground European artists, and could be coming back to our shores plenty in the future.
He'll be bringing fellow Germans and retro fans CTEPEO '57 on tour with him. Check out the full list of dates and locales below:
