U.K. rock act Placebo will still be hitting the road this year despite the loss of drummer Steve Forrest, who left the group to "pursue his own musical ambitions."
According to a press release (and NME), the split was amicable, and the group have replaced Forrest with former Colour of Fire drummer Matt Lunn. The lineup also features Brian Molko and Stefan Olsdal.
"Brian Molko and Stefan Olsdal would like to thank Steve for all his work with the band and wish him all the very best in his future career," the release said.
Placebo celebrated their 20th anniversary last year, and have been a steady overseas presence on the U.K. charts, where all seven of their albums have hit No. 13 or higher. 2013's Loud Like Love was their latest LP, and the band figures to hit the studio again if their new-look lineup gels well on the road.
