Kacey Musgraves releases pointy, attitude-filled 'Follow Your Arrow' music video [WATCH]

There are a lot of things one can say about country's newest rising star Kacey Musgraves, but one thing she certainly isn't is conventional. Today (Dec. 9), the Same Trailer, Different Park singer released the music video for her third official single "Follow Your Arrow," and the clip is absolutely adorable.

The premise for the music video is simple enough and features plenty of up-close shots of Musgraves looking as old school country as ever. The 25-year-old rocks a variety of classic Southern-tinged looks, including some Daisy Dukes, cowboy boots and a red and white fringed dress.

As the song itself is a left-leaning track that takes on the stereotypical hypocrisy of a small town (with lyrics like "If you don't go to church you'll go to hell / If you're the first one in the front pew you're a self-righteous son of a..."), Musgraves shows off plenty of attitude in the video, rolling her eyes and shrugging her shoulders. She also whispers to the camera that she would, in fact, roll up a joint if she could.

Of course, there's also plenty of arrow imagery to fit with the songs "take your own path theme). There are arrow rings, signs and even a fortune cooking with a nice little pointed message.

And, just so Musgraves isn't the only eye candy in the video, there are plenty of male cowboy backing musicians to round out the whole down home theme.

Watch the music video for "Follow Your Arrow" below beginning Dec. 10. Until then, check it out on CMT or over at Rolling Stone.
