She may not be one of the best-selling names in pop music, but she certainly made her mark in terms of critical renown with her Body Talk trio of mini-albums during 2010. Robyn, the Swedish pop star who came to newfound mass appeal with hits such as "Dancing On My Own"-a track named by many as the best song of 2010-announced today that she would at least be touring with production duo Röyksopp during 2014, which further adds to rumors that we can soon expect new music from the performer.
The announcement was less than formal, but still much more than legitimate. The pop star posted a photo on Instagram of herself along with Röyksopp's Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland along with the caption "We are making music again. #royksopprobyn."
Regardless of the absence of any new singles thus far, the presence of Röyksopp in the studio with her has to be promising. The duo was key in the production of Body Talk Pt. 1 that, despite the overall quality of the series, is widely believed to be the best of the album trio (plus, it features "Dancing On My Own," "Fembot," and "Cry When You Get Older").
More formally, Robyn and Röyksopp have already set up a website for the tour, which is titled the "Röyksopp and Robin Do It Again Tour." No dates have actually been announced yet, so keep calm. Billboard reports that the tour will involve dates in both Europe and North America however.
