Metallica play 10-song set for concert in Antarctica [WATCH]

We reported back in October that Metallica would be performing in Antarctica as part of a Coca-Cola promotion. The exclusive show is only the second to ever be performed on the continent. The temperature was -7 degrees when they performed to a crowd of fewer than 200 inside a dome structure near a helipad at Carlini Station. In place of amps, the band transmitted audio through headphones.

They played a 10-song set that included "One," "Enter Sandman," Master of Puppets," "Sad But True," and "Creeping Death." In a press statement the band called the Antarctica endeavour "The most unique show Metallica has ever done. The band, contest winners, research station scientists (from Russia, South Korea, China, Poland, Chile, Brazil and Germany), and the ship crew, all crammed in this little dome out on the helipad of Carlini Station in ANTARCTICA! The energy in the little dome was amazing! Words cannot describe how happy everyone was."

The full 90-minute show was taped and streamed live on Coke's website. You can catch the replay here and take a look at the full setlist below. Pictures of the gig are available on Stereogum.
