TV on The Radio has canceled the entirety of its European tour, announcing that drummer Jahphet Landis had been hospitalized. Although evidently serious enough to merit canceling the rest of the band's tour dates this month, the band reported in a statement that there was no need for longterm concern for Landis's health (from Pitchfork).
"It is with much regret that due to a health emergency, TV On The Radio have been forced to cancel their upcoming Europe/UK tour which is due to start this Friday," read the statement. "Drummer, Jahphet is in the hospital; he will be ok but is not able to travel at this time. TV On The Radio would like to apologize to their European & UK fans and appreciate everyone's understanding and well wishes for Jahphet at this time."
The band was to play the first date on its European tour on Friday in Milan, suggesting that the group had already reached the continent when Jahphet was hospitalized. There hasn't been any discussion as of yet regarding make-up dates.
U.S. fans don't need to get concerned yet: The band's tour dates slated to begin during March in Texas are still confirmed going forward.
