Kanye West can't believe he has only two Grammy nominations this year

Kanye West's Yeezus received two Grammy nominations this year. It is up for Best Rap Album, competing with Drake, Jay Z, Kendrick Lamar and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, and its track "New Slaves" is up for Best Rap Song. But is this enough of a nod for an album that has topped most Best of 2013 lists? West doesn't think so.

During a speech at his December 10 concert in Phoenix, Arizona, West questioned whether the 56th Annual Grammy Awards slighted him. According to SPIN, West told the crowed, "And Yeezus is the top one or two album on every single list, but only gets two nominations from the Grammys. What are they trying to say?"

West has the fifth most Grammy nominations ever with 53 overall. He has won 21 of them, the eighth highest number ever and sixth for a male artist. In 2012, Ye received the most nominations out of anyone with seven overall, but he didn't end up nabbing Album of the Year for My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

We'll just have to see how his two nominations fare this year. You can watch a video of his rant here (via KISSFM Phoenix). Let us know what you think in the comments section below!
