Adam Levine showed up sans Maroon 5 to share the stage with Gwen Stefani on his group's ballad "My Heart is Open." The tune is from the band's fifth album, V, which dropped in August. Levine and Stefani haven't been on television together since last year when they both coached on The Voice.
Stefani sounded fine with Levine, but on her own she was a little flat at times. That Ed Sheeran/ELO extravaganza was a tough act to follow. Gwen doesn't have the range for a ballad like that, but her voice did complement Levine's well.
Blake Shelton: singer recently shared a song he wrote
"The last song that I wrote was the last week on The Voice," he told RS County. "It's funny, I was walking around the set as [the number of finalists] got smaller and smaller -- it was down to five of us -- and people would say, 'Hey, it's Craig Wayne Boyd!' And I'd say, 'Yep, I'm still here!' So I wrote a story of my musical journey up to this point."
