ILoveMakonnen Collaborating With Rihanna, Skrillex, Diplo, Drake, Snoop Dogg On New Album

Artists were in a good mood as they walked into the Grammys filled with hope and optimism that this might be their year to win a Grammy. This was the perfect time to ambush them on the red carpet for interviews and pry loose details about what lays in store for many of the biggest artists in the world during the upcoming year. One of the hottest new names in the music business right now, ILoveMakonnen (real name Makonnen Sheran) was stopped by MTV before he managed to get inside for the pre-telecast and they asked him about his plans in 2015. The "Tuesday" rapper revealed he is working with some really big names including Rihanna, Drake, Snoop Dogg, Diplo and Skrillex.

All of these collaborations are set to be a part of his own album that should come out, in his words 'In June or July."

Some of the collaborations may seem a little outlandish for a man who really only has one single and was just discovered by Drake on soundcloud last year. Drake is an obvious man for the job on the album, while Snoop Dogg contributed a new verse to Sheran's track "21st Street" from his mixtape Drink More Water 4.

Skrillex and Diplo have been playing out "Tuesday" for quite some time separately and as their duo Jack Ü and invited Sheran to perform on NYE at Madison Square Garden as a special guest. The pair has worked with the likes of 2 Chainz and Justin Bieber, so this is nothing new for them. Rihanna is the biggest name on the list and he says they have just been passing ideas back and forth so far, but whatever comes of that should be interesting.

Makonnen was on hand for the Grammys because his hit single, "Tuesday," was nominated in the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration with Drake on the feature. He lost out to Eminem and future collaborator Rihanna's track "Monster," but being nominated was surprising enough.
