Pianist Simone Dinnerstein's newest album, a recording of J.S. Bach's Inventions and Sinfonias, will be released in the U.S. by Sony Classical on January 21, 2014.
Following the release, Dinnerstein will embark on a concert tour, performing Bach's Inventions in cities throughout the U.S. Her first stop is the Miller Theatre at Columbia University in New York, where she will present a solo recital on January 23 at 8:00 p.m.
Her program includes Bach's Two-Part Inventions, as well as the New York premiere of Nico Muhly's "You Can't Get There from Here," which was written for Dinnerstein. She will also play Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 32, and a work by George Crumb (where he riffs on Thelonius Monk) called Eine Kleine Mitternachtmusik.
