WATCH: Taylor Swift's "Style" Music Video with a Big Hint About Her Relationship with Ex-Boyfriend Harry Styles

Taylor Swift: Style

The video is mostly made up of moody, artsy vignettes with a very red-lipped Swift and a classic James Dean handsome male model. Clouds and trees are projected on to a barebacked Swift, as she slowly turns to the camera with a big pout on her painted mouth.

There's a definite breakup theme in "Style," as her man and her are kept separated for most of the music video, until they drive together, looking generally unhappy. There's a hot hugging/make out session, emphasizing the major pain that Swift describes in her lyrics. This couple shouldn't be together; they're not loyal but their style works together.

The biggest scandal in the music video is not the topless Swift or the love scene, but a very certain necklace. As E! Online points out, at one point in the music video, Swift holds a paper airplane necklace that she and Harry Styles famously wore during their relationship. Swift also mentions the token in the lyrics to her 1989 teaser track "Out of the Woods." "our necklace hanging from my neck / The night we couldn't quite forget / When we decided / To move the furniture so we could dance / Baby, like we stood a chance / Two paper airplanes flying, flying," she sings in that song.

And here that symbolism is yet again.
