Eric Prydz has unveiled the music video for his remix of CHVRCHES "Tether." The video follows a cube found on the album artwork situated in various spots on the earth as they erode away and become destroyed by man-made or natural phenomena with the ethereal voice of CHVRCHES echoing in the background, saying, "I'm Feeling capable of / seeing the end / I'm feeling capable of saying it's over."
The remix was originally just something he made so he could play the track out in his sets, but it became such a hit with fans and with CHRVCHES themselves that it finally got an official release nearly a year after its unveiling at Ultra Music Festival in 2014.
The remix is available for purchase now on Beatport and iTunes. Watch the Julien VanHoenacker-directed video below via Eric Prydz's YouTube channel.
The remix was premiered by Zane Lowe on BBC Radio One as the hottest record in the world and in the subsequent interview, Pryda revealed that his album was in the "Final stages, everything is done and it should be ready in two weeks." He has exaggerated these claims before, but fans are hoping the LP is coming sooner rather than later.
Eric Prydz is currently on a club tour across America, named after, presumably, his next single, "Generate." The tour is already four dates in, having played four shows in Austin, but now the bus heads up to Denver, Colorado for a show at Beta before heading towards the Midwest and Northeast in Chicago, New York and elsewhere.
