Oscars 2015: Lady Gaga Performs 'The Sound of Music' Tribute for Film's 50th Anniversary [WATCH]

Lady Gaga's big secret Oscars performance was finally revealed during the telecast tonight (Feb. 22). In a year where the newly engaged pop star reconnected with her old school roots, she made an appearance on Hollywood's biggest night to perform a tribute for the 50th anniversary of The Sound of Music before introducing the star of the original film herself, Julie Andrews.

Wearing a stunning, flowing white gown, her hair down and dusty blonde and her massive new heart-shaped engagement ring, Gaga began her The Sound of Music tribute with the classic title track before moving in to other classic hits from the soundtrack, including "Edelweiss," "My Favorite Things," and "Climb Ev'ry Mountain."

All the while, Gaga put on her best old-timey singing voice, sounding less like the ARTPOP version of herself and more like her time with Tony Bennett on Cheek to Cheek.

Oscars host Neil Patrick Harris teased the performance as one of the Oscar moments to go down in history, and with the degree to which Lady Gaga pulled this off, it will definitely be one of tomorrow's big water cooler moments at offices across the nation.
