Kelly Clarkson 'Invincible' Review: New 'Piece By Piece' Single Penned by Sia Hits All the Strongest Notes [LISTEN]

Like her lead Piece By Piece single "The Heartbeat Song," "Invincible" finds Clarkson overcoming personal adversity and emerging far stronger on the other side of the event, becoming a "warrior, shooting star."

"Beat down on me, beat down like a waterfall / I can take on so much more than I ever dreamed / Beat down on me, beat down like a waterfall / 'Cause baby, I am ready to be free," Clarkson sings with notable power in the pre-chorus, before blasting about her invincibility in the chorus.

"Invincible" features some key Sia song signatures, including a massive range of singing, dripping vocals and powerful messages, something Clarkson was keen on incorporating for her new album.

"The next [single] is really good, and Sia wrote it," Clarkson said on BBC Radio 1 (via Just Jared) "It's called 'Invincible,' and it's spectacular. She doesn't suck. I've never gotten to sing songs before. She writes such rangy songs. We work with the same producers. So, we kind of have the same mutual friends."

Indeed, as should be expected the marriage of Sia and Clarkson is a powerful one, and it definitely hits all the right notes.
